Phoenix Rising
by Emily Zemler (06/13/09 06:46 PM)

I think everyone at Bonnaroo would agree with me that Phoenix's set last night was one of the best so far this weekend. Members of the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, White Rabbits, Of Montreal, Passion Pit, Chair Lift, and Grizzly Bear were all in attendance, and That Tent was packed full of dancing fans. Singer Thomas Mars arrived at Bonnaroo from the airport just  minutes before the set and the frenzied energy translated onstage- in a postive way.

Thomas and Deck talked to me in their dressing room after the show:

UPDATE: I also suggest you check out my friend Peter's interview with Phoenix (and many other awesome bands) at the Budweiser Troo Music Stage on SPIN.com. We all love Phoenix.
