Raphael Saadiq and Crew Bring the Heat
by Paul Farber
(06/13/09 08:35 PM)
I am posting this with Raphael Saadiq and his singers Erica and B.J. sitting in our trailer cooling off after their set. One of my favorite artists of all-time looking over my shoulder as I write. This is how I define pressure.
A quick look
and video going up later today
.
Despite nearly suffering heat stroke, Saadiq and his singers rose to the occasion. Here are two video gems for Saadiq fans:
Saadiq performs his Lucy Pearl classic, "Dance Tonight."
Following their bigger stage set, the band moved to the cozy Sonic Stage where many of the Saadiq diehards followed. Here's a clip from the end of his performance of "Still Ray." Saadiq and Co. did not disappoint today.
