Metal F-ing Sunday!
by Emily Zemler
(06/14/09 05:24 PM)
I missed out on Cage the Elephant and Dillinger Escape Plan earlier this afternoon because I was stalking comedians, but High on Fire just finished and it was like a beautiful explosion to my ears. Seriously, it was one of the best, most energetic sets I've seen at Bonnaroo this year and my question is: Why are there not more people in That Tent right now to celebrate Metal Sunday with me??? Get in here! Shadows Fall and Coheed & Cambria are coming up next...
Here is a video and some pictures of High on Fire to motivate you:

Emily Zemler
Emily Zemler is a freelance writer based in New York City. You may have seen her work in Alternative Press, Relix, Paper, YRB, and on SPIN.com, where she runs a book club for literate musicians. She likes: drummers who put their crash cymbals too high, explaining the validity of emo as musical genre, bands that don't have vocalists, and making a meal of meatless side dishes at BBQ joints in Tennessee.
